Tammy Lynn Hazlerig, age 56, of Elgin, passed away August 16, 2020 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, IL.  She was born January 12, 1964 in Joliet, IL to her parents, Garvice Randall Suits and Jackaleen Arnold.

Tammy graduated from Elgin High School, Class of 1982. She worked at Fruitful Yield health food store in South Elgin.

Tammy married the love of her life, Tim Hazlerig, after they met each other at a Jewel Food Store in Summit in Elgin. She spilled some dry spaghetti, Tim cleaned it up, and the rest is history.

Tammy was an amazing mom who loved her kids with all her heart.  She always wanted to be a mommy, and that she was.  She treasured each one of her six children. She thrived on raising her babies, homeschooling them,  spoiling her grandkids.

Tammy loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, as He loved her, and she wanted everyone she met to know Him as well.  She knew Him, lived Him, and everyone she met, loved her for it.

Friends and loved ones will remember Tammy’s positive attitude – she never complained or grumbled.

In her free time, she enjoyed sewing (for her kids and their baby dolls), quilting, gardening, reading, hiking, baking, and finding a good deal while shopping.  She also loved to write supportive, encouraging notes to friends and family.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband Timothy “Tim” Hazlerig; children Jami Hazlerig, Sara Caritch, Timmy Hazlerig, Jordan Hazlerig, Elly Hazlerig, and Caleb Hazlerig, and grandchildren Adalyn, Levi, Cara, and Remi Hazlerig, and Liam Caritch. Also, parents Randy Suits and Jackie Arnold; and siblings Jeff Suits, Kym Vining-Saks, and John Suits.

Interment will be private.
