Richard Michael Kurzac, age 64, of Carol Stream, passed away on February 18, 2021. He was born June 1, 1956 in Warsaw, Poland to his loving parents, Wladyslaw Kurzac and Jadwiga Kurzac (née Nozewska).

After high school, Richard joined the United States Air Force in April, 1976, serving proudly until his honorable discharge in August, 1977.

Richard loved fishing, camping, and putting models together. He also enjoyed watching old TV shows like M*A*S*H and The Three Stooges. He especially loved spending time with family.

Richard had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to clown around. He was also very sensitive, loving, and caring.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Matthew Kurzac and Veronica Kurzac; siblings, Danuta (late Stanislaw) Mroz, Andy (Trish) Kurzac, Edward Kurzac, Ewa (Mike) Chmura, Elizabeth (late Lester) Fligelman, Stanley Kurzac, Barbara (Bogdan) Gulik, Harriet (Wesley) Gulik, and Grace (Rigo) Herrera; and two grandchildren; plus many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Mourners are encouraged to review the funeral home COVID-19 public health policies ahead of time. Face masks are required to enter the facility.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, February 26, 2021 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.  Fr. Ryan Browning will be officiating.
