Mildred Gonzalez, age 64, of Elgin, passed away on November 28, 2020. Mildred was born December 18, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY to her loving parents, Pedro Reyes and Carmen Delia Rivera.
Mildred worked for Panasonic until she retired in 2011.
She loved playing Parcheesi and watching Wheel of Fortune, but she especially loved to serve others. She was always willing to help anyone, anywhere, and she did so with love and kindness. A true servant of God.
Mildred was a selfless, caring and loving mother and grandmother. Her smile and laugh lit up every room. And her hugs were amazing. It was as if God Himself was literally hugging you.
Mildred was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Delia Rivera. She is survived by her children, Juan “Tito” Esponda and Joselyn Gonzalez; her father, Pedro Reyes; siblings, Zoraida, Carlos, Lilly and Tony; and all her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and cared for as her own. There wasn’t a person whom she did not impact with her love, attention and testimony. All that knew her were blessed by her never-ending, never-ceasing prayers.
Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, with a service at 7:00pm, Friday, December 4, 2020 at Iglesia Carismatica Puerta de Sion, 19 Center Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
