Michael C. Juza, age 75, of Hampshire, IL, passed away at home on March 12, 2021. He was born January 16, 1946 in Rice Lake, WI to his loving parents, Charles E. and Blanche Juza (née Matous).
Michael joined the United States Army in 1968, and served honorably until 1970.
Michael graduated from the DeVry Institute of Technology. He worked as an auto mechanic, and owned his own Shell station and auto repair business. Later, he became a rural mail carrier.
Michael loved fishing, growing things, and watching Nascar on television. And if he was presented with an engine of any kind that was not operational, he enjoyed tackling it until he could diagnose the problem.
Loved ones will remember him as the kindest, sweetest man. He also had a very dry sense of humor. Once, his wife, Carol, was telling him about an older customer at her work who was wearing a “Fox Trot” t-shirt. She was pretty sure that the gentleman, at his advanced age, could not have done the 10K or even the 5K, but possibly the 2 mile walk. She was just about to ask him about it when she saw that the shirt was from 2004. Without missing a beat, Michael said, “Maybe he just finished.”
Michael was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Carol Juza; children, Ryan Juza, Scott Juza, Julie (Andy Dogan) Warren, and Neal (Shawna) Warren; sister, Patricia Juza; and grandchildren, Brett Warren, Lacey Warren, and Alayna Dogan.
