Lynn Rose, age 73, of Elgin, IL, passed away at home on December 12, 2018. Lynn was born in Oak Park, IL, on September 22, 1945. Lynn was one of two children born to Mazie Wolff and raised by Frank and Mazie Wolff.

John Rose, age 65, of Elgin, IL passed away at home on December 23, 2007. John was one of four children born to John and Betty Rose.

Lynn is survived by her two sons, Joseph and Jeffrey Bilbrey and her four grandchildren, Alicen Bilbrey, Peter Menza, Logan Bilbrey and Nora Walther.

At the time of his passing, John was survived by his wife, Lynn Rose, his brother, Kenny Rose and sister-in-law, Mary Rose.

While raising her sons, Lynn was employed as a school bus driver in Palatine, IL. Afterwards, Lynn spent many years employed with United Airlines. During her retirement, Lynn worked part-time at Santa’s Village in Dundee, IL.

John served as a heavy equipment operator for the US Army before his life-long employment as a semi-truck driver.

Loved ones will remember Lynn’s sense of humor, stubborn personality, and loving heart. John was a jolly, good-hearted man who could strike up a conversation with anyone. John had many stories from his adventures on the open-road. Lynn and John shared many common interests such as cheering on the Chicago Bears, going to the Grand Victoria casino boat, playing cards, their beloved dogs and time spent with family.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Mazie, brother Don, son Aaron, husband John, partner Steve, cousin Pat, brother-in-law Kenny, and her life-long friends, Cherie Hanson and Mary Winkowski.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Rose.

Remembrance service will be held from 10:00a.m-11:00am on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Symonds Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin IL 60120.  Interment to follow at Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Blvd, Elgin IL 60120.
