Jules “Mighty” Terrance Judkins, 52, of Aurora, passed away peacefully at home on February 13, 2018. He was born October 22, 1965 to his loving parents, Jerome and Arthurine Judkins (nee Wright).
Jules graduated from Percy L. Julian High School, Class of 1983. He later attended DeVry University, studying Telecommunications Management.
Jules served his country in the U.S. Army, 2nd Infantry Division.
He held numerous Senior Network and Telecommunications Engineering positions for companies such as Cox Communications, Qwest, Century Link and Wicresoft.
Loved ones will remember Jules as fun-loving and competitive. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and working out. He was a member of the Professional Bowling Association (PBA), and had an ongoing friendly competition based on the PBA qualifying format with his brother Jarrett, where the two bowled seven games and the highest pin count won. The tradition earned the name, “The Bowling Beatdown” and was a highlight for five years running. Jules was also an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints football Team.
Jules was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Arthurine.
Jules is survived by his sister, Rev. Dr. Yolanda Judkins Freeman, brothers, Jerome and Jarrett (Rachel) Judkins; aunts Eleanor Jones and Donna Wright; cousins Cee Cee Thompson, Debbie Harrison, Tammy James, Robin James, Tyree Wright, Arthur Wright, Kevin Wright, and Lisa Wright; nieces and nephews Andrea Freeman, Yvette Freeman, Jasmine Chapman, Danielle Judkins, Jarrett “JT” Judkins, Isaiah Lindsay, Amber Richardson, and Stephanie Judkins.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, February 24, 2018 11:00am until time of Memorial Service at 12:00pm at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 848 West 71st Street., Chicago, Il 60621, repast will follow service from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Future Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
