Ignacio Ramirez, age 67, of Aurora, IL, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2021. He was born July 31, 1953 in La Yesca, Nayarit, Mexico to his loving parents, Jesus Ramirez and Enedina Ortiz.

Ignacio met his wife, Maria, in Chicago through mutual friends, and were married for 43 years. They loved going dancing and socializing with friends.

Ignacio was one of the hardest working men alive. He always had two jobs, and sometimes even three. But no matter how hard he worked, he always put his family first.

Ignacio loved to help others and was a great mentor. He would gladly give the shirt off his back if it would help someone in need. He had many friends that became like family. He enjoyed connecting with people, and was always seeking knowledge, which he gladly shared with others. He set many people on the right path. Loved ones will remember how much Ignacio cared, and that he would always tell them what they really needed to hear, even if wasn’t what they wanted to hear.

Ignacio was a wonderful conversationalist who enjoyed gardening, traveling, fishing, dancing, and food. He loved to cook for others, and generously shared any good recipes he found.

Ignacio was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Matilde Ramirez and Martin Ramirez; and sisters, Cristina Ramirez and Michaela Ramirez. He is survived by his wife, Maria Ramirez; children, Jazmin King, Lisandro Ramirez, and Jesenia Ramirez; siblings, Balbina Ortega, Asuncíon Ramirez, Adelaida Ramirez, Serafin Ramirez, Aurea Ramirez, and Angelina Ramirez; grandchildren, Maya King, Ava King, Riley Ramirez, and Avery Ramirez; and nephews, Juan Pablo Varela and Guadalupe Montalvo.

Visitation will be 11:00am until funeral service at 1:00pm, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Fr. Camacho will be officiating.
