Cynthia Yasmyn Vega, age 20, of Elgin, Illinois, passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Cynthia was born May 2, 1994 in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Cynthia had a big heart and loved everyone she met, most of all her fiancé, mother and cousins Natalie and Cassidy. She was a humble, down-to-earth woman, loved by all. She enjoyed dancing, music and anything to do with Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. Emma, her dog, was the center of her life. Her biggest dream was to become an architect. She was known for her strong determination and would never give up the fight. She was also very loyal. She may have only stood 4’11” but she had the personality of a giant.
Cynthia is survived by her fiancé Kevin Borba, her mother Normi Vega, her brothers Alex Jr, Jaylee, and sister Jasmine Vega, grandparents Isabel, Willson Vege, Jovita Caban, her aunt Eda (Sam) Cruz, uncle Wilson Jr. (Leticia) Vega, Step-father Lorerze Allen, and her cousins Ivan, Mikayla, Jasmine, Mark, Natalia, and Cassidy.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother Nemesia Feliciano.
Visitation will be Sunday October 5, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with services at 7:00 PM at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street Elgin, Illinois 60120. Mass will be 11:00 AM Monday October 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 272 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Interment will follow to Bluff City Cemetery 945 Bluff City Blvd.
