Beverly Wright, age 70, of Dundee, passed away September 30, 2015 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinos from complications while being treated for cancer. She was born on May 26, 1945 in Elmhurst, Illinois to her parents, Julius and Irene Rosenwinkel.
Beverly graduated from Itasca High School in 1963. After spending a few years in New York, she moved back to Illinois, married, and eventually settled in the Dundee area. Beverly was very involved in helping children, spending years as an active member of the PTA, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and most recently made hundreds of blankets for children through the Project Linus program. She acted as general contractor on her dream home, completing much of the work herself. In her spare time, she enjoyed making and selling handmade crafts, traveling, boating, decorating, and following her family and friends on social media. While she was a private person by nature, Beverly was always willing to open her arms to strangers, and probably most telling of her character, loved people unconditionally.
Beverly is survived by her brother Virgil Rosenwinkel, partner Don Wright, son Kevin Wright and daughter-in-law Colette Gabriel.
Services and interment will be private at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinois. The family encourages memorial donations to the Project Linus program (www.projectlinus.org).
