Antonietta Moraca, age 90, of Elgin, IL, passed away on November 11, 2021. She was born September 26, 1931 in Ferentino, Italy to her loving parents, Lorenzo and Palma Paris.

Antonietta met her husband, Joseph Moraca, in Elgin, and they were married for 61 years before his passing. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years, and she worked as a food service technician in School District U46 for over 20 years. She had an impeccable work ethic.

Antonietta was a loving caregiver for many. She simply enjoyed being with people, especially family, and loved to joke with them. She loved to cook, garden, and go for walks. She often went to visit friends that were homebound. She spent every fall canning fruits and vegetables. Antonietta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, and will be deeply missed.

Antonietta was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Moraca; son, Giulio Moraca; son-in-law, John Stein; nephew, Michael Miller; niece, Piera Echavarria; and sisters, Silvana Pace, Guiseppena Paris, Chiarina Paris, and Augusta Paris.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Stein of Elgin; grandchildren, Matthew Moraca, Gino Moraca, and Alessandro Moraca; daughters-in-law, Connie Moraca and Cynthia Cox; nephews, Sandro Miller and Dino Pace; niece, Pauletta Quadrozzi; and many other loving nieces and nephews in Italy.

Visitation will be 11:00am until funeral service at 12:00pm, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at St. Mary Church of Elgin, 400 Fulton Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Rev. Chris Kuhn will be officiating.

Interment to follow at River Valley Memorial Gardens, 14N689 Route 31, West Dundee, IL 60118.
