Angel Manuel Gonzalez, age 64, of Elgin, IL, passed away on November 2, 2021. He was born August 27, 1957 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico to his loving parents, Leandro Gonzalez and Maria Magdalena Lopez.

Angel was full of life and very social. He was always laughing, and he liked to make sure everyone around him was having a good time, too.

He loved sports, and enjoyed playing baseball, football, and soccer, even in adulthood. He also spent time camping, skiing, and listening to music.

Loved ones will remember Angel as a bright light, always the life of any party. He would dance at the drop of a hat, and he had a big heart full of love.

Angel was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Lopez Romero. He is survived by his children, Enisa (Young) Gonzalez and Nicholette (Nick) Manczko; father, Leandro Gonzalez; sisters, Anna (James) Hurst, Maggie Galloway, and Dr. Letty (Miguel) Gonzalez-Almeida Jr.; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2:00pm until funeral service at 4:00pm, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Mourners are encouraged to review the funeral home COVID-19 public health policies ahead of time.

Interment will be private.
